Barbara's mission is to provide massage therapy and be a helpful facilitator of healing for the body, mind and spirit of each client. She draws on a wealth of experience from her own journey of healing, and generously shares from all areas of her life with her clients.
She is in private massage therapy practice at Dynamic Massage and Bodywork in Dothan, Alabama. As a massage therapist and bodyworker she integrates Manual Lymph Drainage (Vodder method), CranioSacral Therapy, Swedish, therapeutic stretches, and myofascial techniques into her work. Her practice is limited to women with a special interest and compassion for people living with cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and end of life; for women with lyphedema concerns; for women who have experienced a recent loss and are grieving; and for women in their mid-life healing journey.
She is an lifelong learner. She has studied oncology massage in a hospital setting, infusion setting; and also scar tissue release and tissue mobilization. In addition to the continual study of massage and bodywork, she enjoys exercise and nutrition, cooking, gardening, reading, and walking her Miniature Schnauzer, Gracie, who accompanies her to work on most days. Her sons, Thomas and Matthew, are graduates in civil engineering at Auburn University and work in Atlanta and Denver. War Eagle!!!
