About Me

imageWhen you heal yourself and assist others with their self-healing, you heal the Earth.

Barbara's mission is to provide massage therapy and be a helpful facilitator of healing for the body, mind and spirit of each client.  She draws on a wealth of experience from her own journey of healing, and generously shares from all areas of her life with her clients.

She is in private massage therapy practice at Dynamic Massage and Bodywork in Dothan, Alabama.  As a massage therapist and bodyworker she integrates Manual Lymph Drainage (Vodder method), CranioSacral Therapy, Swedish, therapeutic stretches, and myofascial techniques into her work.  Her practice is limited to women with a special interest and compassion for people living with cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and end of life; for women with lyphedema concerns; for women who have experienced a recent loss and are grieving; and for women in their mid-life healing journey.

She graduated from the CORE Institute School of Massage Therapy in Tallahassee, FL, in 2002, and is Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She is a Certified Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist from Klose Trainings in Colorado.  She is licensed in the state of Alabama, and has a B.S. in Child Development from the University of Missouri.  Prior to practicing massage therapy she was an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
