About Me

When you heal yourself and assist others with their self-healing, you heal the Earth.

Barbara's mission is to provide massage therapy and be a helpful facilitator of healing for the body, mind and spirit of each client.  She believes that the body knows best what is needed to be more balanced and healthy.  She draws on a wealth of experience from her own journey of healing, and generously shares from all areas of her life with her clients.

She is in private massage therapy practice at Dynamic Massage and Bodywork in Dothan, Alabama.  As a massage therapist and bodyworker she integrates skills from CranioSacral Therapy, Swedish, deep tissue, therapeutic stretches, and Erik Dalton's Myoskeletal Alignment myofascial Techniques into her work.  Her practice includes teenagers and adults, with a special understanding and compassion for women in their mid-life healing journey and pregnant women.

She graduated from the CORE Institute School of Massage Therapy in Tallahassee, FL, in 2002, and is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.  She is licensed in the state of Alabama, and has a B.S. in Child Development from the University of Missouri.  Prior to practicing massage therapy she was an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

She is an lifelong learner.  She recently participated in an Erik Dalton Myoskeletal Alignment Technique therapeutic mentorship with Paul Kelly, in Knoxville, TN, and has studied Integrated Massage and Personal Training at the The Functional Training Institute in Gainesville, FL.   In addition to the continual study of massage and bodywork, she enjoys exercise and nutrition, cooking, gardening, reading, photography and walking her Miniature Schnauzer, Oreo.  She lives with her sons, Thomas and Matthew.
