Barbara's mission is to provide massage therapy and be a helpful facilitator of healing for the body, mind and spirit of each client.  She draws on a wealth of experience from her own journey of healing, and generously shares from all areas of her life with her clients.

She is in private massage therapy practice at Dynamic Massage and Bodywork in Dothan, Alabama.  As a massage therapist and bodyworker she integrates skills from Vodder method Manual Lymph Drainage, CranioSacral Therapy, Swedish, deep tissue, therapeutic stretches, and Erik Dalton's Myoskeletal Alignment myofascial Techniques into her work.  Her practice includes teenagers and adults, with a special interest and compassion for people living with cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and end of life; for women in their mid-life healing journey; and for pregnant women.  

She graduated from the CORE Institute School of Massage Therapy in Tallahassee, FL, in 2002, and is Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She is a Certified Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist from Klose Trainings in Colorado.  She is licensed in the state of Alabama, and has a B.S. in Child Development from the University of Missouri.  Prior to practicing massage therapy she was an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.


She is an lifelong learner.  She is currently pursuing an oncology massage certification. She participated in an Erik Dalton Myoskeletal Alignment Technique therapeutic mentorship with Paul Kelly, in Knoxville, TN, and has studied Integrated Massage and Personal Training at the The Functional Training Institute in Gainesville, FL.   In addition to the continual study of massage and bodywork, she enjoys exercise and nutrition, cooking, gardening, reading, photography and walking her Miniature Schnauzer, Oreo.  Her sons, Thomas and Matthew, are interested in civil engineering and studied at Auburn University.  War Eagle!!!
