About Me
Barbara's mission is to be a helpful facilitator of healing for the body, mind and spirit of each client.  She believes that the body knows best what is needed to be more balanced and healthy.  She draws on a wealth of experience from her own journey of healing, and generously shares from all areas of her life with her clients.

She is in private massage therapy practice at Dynamic Massage and Bodywork in Dothan, Alabama.  As a massage therapist and bodyworker she integrates skills from CranioSacral Therapy in addition to Swedish, deep tissue, lomilomi and therapeutic stretches into each of her sessions.  In the fall of 2008 she began integrating Erik Dalton's Myoskeletal Alignment myofascial Techniques into her work.  Her practice includes teenagers and adults, with a special understanding and compassion for women in their mid-life healing journey.

She graduated from the CORE Institute School of Massage Therapy in Tallahassee, FL, in 2002, and is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.  She is licensed in the state of Alabama, and has a B.S. in Child Development from the University of Missouri.  Prior to practicing massage therapy, she was an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

She is an avid learner.  In addition to the continual study of massage and bodywork, she enjoys exercise and nutrition, cooking, gardening, reading, photography and walking her Miniature Schnauzer, Oreo.  She lives with her teenage sons, Thomas and Matthew.
